Blanche Johnston is a professional artist living near Beaver Creek, SK. She creates with impasto textures or smooth glazes using acrylic/encaustic and/or oil paint with mixed media onto cradled birch panels.
Her work is inspired by landscapes and florals, portraying a curiosity about place and time. Blanche completed the University of Saskatchewan Art and Design Certificate; she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.
Blanche is a member of CARFAC as well as numerous galleries in Saskatchewan. She is involved with many local art shows and supports community art programming by matching businesses with exhibiting artists.
